About the author (Mom) and illustrator (Eren)

Senur Hadzhalaran (Eren’s Mom) was born in Bulgaria, where she grew up to teach as a primary school teacher. In 2002, she and her family moved to Canada. Her passion for working with kids remained, and that was the seed of inspiration that blossomed into her new career as a children’s book author.

When Senur’s youngest son, Eren, turned 5, he became the illustrator for their books. Now, they both continue happily creating and reading their stories at schools as well as donating their books to charitable causes. They donated $1,030 of their books’ proceeds to Eren’s elementary school.

Their Mission

Eren and Mom Children’s Books educate children all over the world. Their books focus on teaching friendship, kindness, responsibility and teamwork.

They strive to send powerful messages to all children, parents and educators to help improve children’s eating habits, activity levels and character development.

Their stories are unique and fun to read, reflecting a collaboration between a mom and her little son.
